Aims of Affordable Acupuncture UK

The aims of Affordable Acupuncture UK are:

• To give clear, easily accessible info to the public about their local multi-bed clinic, and to give the message that there is change happening in acupuncture provision in the UK. Hopefully some people looking at the site will feel more able to access the treatment they need, knowing it will be within their budget.

• To have the presence and success of multi-bed clinics reported in the national press and brought to the national agenda. The more people know we exist, the more patients we’ll get… who will refer more patients… and so the usefulness of acupuncture spreads throughout our community (to say nothing of practitioners increasing their chances of making a living). The national press will prefer to write about an association of clinics, as the success of one clinic is usually considered a local issue.

• To inspire practitioners to set up more multi-bed clinics, by showing it can be done, it works, it’s fun!

• To support them in that process by sharing the experiences and wisdom of those of us who’ve already done it, and the encouragement of colleagues also in the start-up phase.
